Amy Sutnick Plotch brings creative, results-driven communication strategies to non-profit and foundation clients. She helps clients translate their complex missions into effective communications plans that promote social issues, launch products and programs, build awareness and strengthen fundraising.

Amy designs and manages both national campaigns and local initiatives. Clients include the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University, Funders Network for Population, Reproductive Health and Rights and New York University (NYU). As an adjunct faculty member, Amy taught courses on strategic communications for nonprofit managers at NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

On behalf of Open Society Institute (OSI), Amy helped youth media grantees launch and market new curricula. She also brought a strategic communications perspective to OSI's investment in the youth media field.

Amy recently helped the Innovation Center for Community and Youth Development, a new national organization, to define and develop its brand. She developed a new tagline, messages, graphic identity, and communications strategy. She is currently implementing the strategy.

Before starting her own company in 1997, Amy was director of communications for Girls Incorporated, where she created a new external relations department, rebranded the organization, and produced the organization's groundbreaking Girls Re-Cast TV Campaign. Amy also served as public affairs director for the New York City Department of Juvenile Justice and as public relations staff for Planned Parenthood of New York City.
